Okay so I just saw Twilight the movie and I thought it was a good movie but DEFINITELY NOT worthy of the name Twilight I've read the book 8 times and have it memorized so maybe I just noticed things allot more but some things were just unforgivable and unbelievable, and I cant believe they took sooo much crucial information and romance out!
1. They messed up the whole Edward bringing Bella to meet the Cullens, Edward didn't tell of Carslisle's history and the scene where they were in Edward's bedroom was AWFUL he never jumped out the window with Bella where the heck did that come from? and Edwards room was a MESS what in the world a vampires room would have NEVER been a mess!!!!! ugh!
2. They didn't do blood typing in Biology that was important it helped Bella realize that Edward was a vampire bc he skipped class during blood typing, and it was romantic when Edward carried Bella to the nurse and then drove her home and also important! oh and Edward would have never made that scraping noise with the microscope in Bio class vampires don't make those kinds of sounds their graceful! Stephanie even says in New Moon when Bella heard a chair scrape that it must have been Charlie because there was NO way Alice - a vampire would have ever made that sound!
3. Bella was rude to her mom on the phone! Bella would have never been rude to her mom, Renee was her best friend and that was part of her personality she was always sweet to her mom and worried about her!
4. Edward didn't tell Bella she was talking in her sleep that was a GREAT part in the book so romantic I just don't understand why they had to cut out so many things when they added stupid crap like Victoria being @ the prom!
5. The first time that Edward and Bella kissed and Bella started "attacking" Edward in Stephanie Meyer's words Edward become "unresponsive stone" he DID NOT get too far into the kiss too and put Bella in danger like he did in the movie Edward wouldn't have done that!
6. When Edward asked Rosalie to take Bella's clothes and put them on to confuse the scent Rosalie would have NEVER taken the clothes Rosalie's gift that she had brought from her first life was her stubbornness she wouldn't have just given in just bc Carsisle said so and put the clothes on NO WAY!
7. Alice and Emmet went with Edward and Bella to get away from the tracker.
8. They never showed that Victoria and James were mates until New Moon that was supposed to be a surprise they totally messed that up when James put his arm around Victoria and left the baseball field!
9. They didn't show that Bella was a klutz enough when Bella was hiking with Edward they acted like she was a pro hiker Edward had to help her hike the whole way! the only time they showed it was when she fell on the ice and they missed a perfectly good chance to show it in the video that James used to lure Bella to the ballet studio that video was supposed to be of Bella falling off something and Renee saying "Bella Bella" bc she was worried! so I really don't understand why they changed that it was a good chance to show that Bella was a klutz and now people who didn't read the book aren't really gonna know that Bella was a klutz!
10. They didn't do the spring dance umm first of all that was the way the Meadow chapter/scene was supposed to originate from. Edward came up and asked Bella if he could give her a ride to Seattle which later turned into going to the meadow. second the spring dance was a chance to show that Edward cared for Bella bc he wanted to know what her reaction was to Tyler, Mike and Eric!
11. They acted like Bella wanted to go to prom!! what the heck? She was TOTALLY TICKED that Edward was taking her to prom!!!! bc she was a klutz and couldn't dance hello another opportunity to show that Bella was a klutz! Her going to prom was a surprise she thought Edward was gonna change her into a vampire that night!! She would have NEVER gone to prom under her own free will!
12. Edward wasn't always a in a bad mood or mad!!! he was in a good mood sometimes they made seem like he was a total pmsy jerk who was never in a good mood! What happened to his musical laugh and crooked smile that we all LOVE sooo much?!
13. Oh My Ward Bella just walked out of the hotel to get to James What The Heck!!!! That would have NEVER happened it was nearly impossible for Bella to get away from Alice and Jasper it took the Phoenix airport which Bella knew well and a very large terminal, just walking out of the hotel wouldn't have worked she wouldn't have even gotten out the door to the hotel room let alone all the way to her house!!
14. They didn't say anything about how Alice became a vampire that's important in later movies!! That was really stupid of them and they will regret it later!
15. Edward wouldn't have had to be told to stop sucking Bella's blood and have almost killed her!! That made me furious I thought I was gonna cry Edward loved Bella more then anything!!!
16. Her heart monitor didn't go off when he kissed her in the hospital and they didn't say anything about him being able to hear every time he touched her, her heart misbehaving that was sooo romantic they could have easily put that in!
17. Rosalie and Alice and Emmet and Jasper were supposed to be @ prom too! looking perfect and intimidating everyone else! lol
18. Bella NEVER had bad dreams about Edward the one time she had an even near bad dream about Edward she dreamed that Edward called out to her in the woods with fanged teeth and Jacob and Mike told her to run but the book said that even when Jacob sprang to get Edward as a wolf she feared for Edward she never dreamed that he sucked her blood that was just WRONG!
19. Bella passed out the second time Edward kissed her! I'm just saying it took her three times to be able to not overreact when he kissed her 1rst time she attacked him 2nd time she passed out 3rd time she attacked him again!
20. Where was the "Do I dazzle you?" "frequently"? geez why didn't they just call it "Edward acts like a jerk and fights with Bella allot and then saves her from evil vampire"?
21. Bella didn't do Charlie's dishes and make him dinner and things like that.Part of her personality was that she was always taking care of her parents that was important!
22. What was up with Edward saving Bella from Tyler's van and then jumping up and walking away?
23. I saved the worst for last! They MASSACRED the meadow scene! they took all the romance out that was THE MOST CRUCIAL part of the whole book when it came to Edward and Bella!!!! What happened to Bella and Edward laying in the sun and just talking to e/o declaring their love!!!!!!!!! :'( I Cant believe they took that out!!
Character review:
Jasper - He looked disturbed I mean I know that he was supposed to feel the atmosphere of what everyone was feeling and so he would have looked a little weird but he looked like he was about to go crazy the whole movie!
Alice - She needed more energy! And it was supposed to seem like she danced instead of walked but other then that they did pretty good with her.
Rosalie- was perfect! except for the part where she took Bella's clothes but that wasn't the actresses part I blame that on the writers/director.
Edward- like I said before he wasn't always in a bad mood!
Angela - They TOTALLY messed her character up I'm not even gonna get started!
Bella - didn't help everyone like she did in the book she just acted like a normal teenager Bella was supposed to act ALLOT older then her age!
Eric- umm yeah he was supposed to be a chess club dork Idk what the writers were going for with him but it definitely wasn't chess club dork!
Jessica and Mike - were perfect!
your probably wondering what I actually liked about the movie well I liked the movie but like I said I've read the book 8 times and it just didn't feel like Twilight to me! It would have been a great movie if it had just been a movie about vampires but they tried to make Twilght and thats not an easy task! Its like trying to make Romeo and Juliet into a movie you dont go messing around with Shakespeare's story line *shakes head*!
